BREAKING PATERSON NJ: Gunfire Erupts in Paterson; Pregnant Woman Shot

There is an active investigation and search for suspects wanted for a shooting that caused injuries in Paterson early Sunday morning.

Police taped off the vicinity of 210 East Railway Avenue after gunfire erupted at that location just before 5:30 a.m.

Multiple police units arrived at the scene and found evidence that a shooting occurred according to police.

While investigating at the crime scene, officials at the St. Joseph's Hospital alerted police of a pregnant woman who entered the emergency department suffering a gunshot wound to the buttocks according to reports.

According to police, about four black male suspects who wore ski-masks arrived in the area and fire rounds at the victims then fled the scene. Police say one of the victims had dreadlocks.

The condition of the victims have not been reported as life-threatening at this time.
