An Atlantic City police officer is in stable condition after being stabbed Friday evening.
According to authorities, the officer was stabbed at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the 600 block of North Kentucky Avenue, while a male was shot by police at the same location.
The officer was taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center—City Campus and is in stable condition. The male who was shot is currently at AtlantiCare Medical Center—City Campus.
This is an active investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit has responded and is on scene. No other information will be released at this time.
