There are life-threatening injuries reported for the victim of a pedestrian strike in Newark.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responder rushed to the vicinity of Pennsylvania Avenue and Lincoln Park after they received reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Police and emergency crews arrived and found the unconscious and unresponsive male suffering severe injuries after a vehicle struck them then at that location.
EMS rushed the unidentified victim to University Hospital for treatment while police notified The Essex County Prosecutor's Office to assist in the investigation.
It is not clear if the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
