BREAKING MADISON NJ: Storm Declaration of Emergency Issued for Madison; All Schools are Closed

A Proclamation of Local State of Emergency has been issued, effective 4:00 A.M. today, Friday, November 1, 2019, for the safety of all residents.

Heavy rain and wind that passed through that section of Morris County caused localized flooding and several trees to fall during the overnight, according to Madison city officials.

Please be advised that all Madison Public Schools are closed today, Friday, November 1, 2019, due to damage from downed wires and trees throughout Madison.

According to Madison city officials, Mayor Conley is seen assessing damage throughout the city with DPW Superintendent Ken O'Brien.

Police, Fire, DPW and the Electric Department are all working to clean up the damage that took place overnight.
