Firefighters are at the scene of a multi-alarm fire that’s tearing through a garage in Elizabeth at this time.
Heavy fire broke out inside a garage located in the 600 block of Madison Avenue just before 3:30 p.m., sending firefighters to the scene. Arriving crews encountered heavy flames coming from the structure.
There are more than a dozen firefighters on the scene battling this blaze with no severe injuries reported at this time.
Crews are also on the scene of a three-alarm house fire that’s burning on the 600 block of Monroe Street.

There are no injuries reported on Monroe at this time.
It appears that the garage fire extended to the house.
