Coyote that Attacked a Bergen County Man Tests Positive for Rabies

Saddle River New Jersey

The state Department of Health revealed the coyote that attacked a Saddle River man had rabies, officials announced today.

On Monday the Twin Brooks resident was doing yard work outside his resident when he was attacked.

Responding authorities eventually tracked down the coyote and euthanized it.

Authorities found six dead pups in the coyote's den. Officials are now working on tracking down it's mate and any offspring.

Small children and pets should not be left alone outside, added officials.
