Police in Newark are on the search for a suspect who is wanted for robbing a convenience store in the city's Central Ward on Wednesday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to 300 South 7th Street to investigate reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Units arrived and were told a black male suspect entered the store armed with a gun and demanded cash from the register.
The suspect took and an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the scene in an unknwon direction.
There were no physical injuries reported.
