A 45-year-old Plainfield man is recovering in the hospital after he was stabbed after an argument on Monday afternoon in downtown Newark.
According to police, officers responded to the Newark YMCA sometime around 1 p.m. where they found an alert and conscious male victim who told officers that he was stabbed immediately after an argument with an unidentified male.
The alleged suspect was described as approximately 5’7 feet tall, 160 pounds and was last seen wearing a dark top, metallic purple sneakers and an old navy cap.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information regarding the stabbing is asked to contact police.
