ALERT: Multiple Armed Robberies Reported in Newark's Ironbound Section; Stolen Vehicle Also Reported

Police in Newark's East Ward are on high alert after several armed and attempted armed robberies have been reported in the area.

Authorities are looking for two black male suspects who are reportedly armed with a gun and occupying a grey Jeep Cherokee.

The men are wanted for the following incidents:

-Attempted carjacking-armed robbery 100 block of Jefferson Street at around 12:30 a.m.

- Just before 4 a.m., armed robbery in the area of Wilson Avenue and Garrison Street. Personal possessions taken, victim suffered an unspecified injury.

- A male victim was robbed of personal possessions by several black male suspects at around 6 a.m. in the area of Union Street and Green Street.

- At around 6:40 a.m., Van Buren and South Street, suspects committed an armed robbery.

- 80's block of Nichols shortly before 7 a.m., suspects committed an armed robbery.

**ADDITIONAL ALERT:** A person warming up their vehicle in the 100 block of Chestnut Street, stepped away for a second when a male suspect jumped in and sped off. It is not clear if the incident is connected to the armed robberies that has occurred in the area at this time.

The vehicle is a black **Lexus with Maryland license plate "6CK-7485"**
