Shooting in Paterson Leaves One Injured, Suspects at Large

Early Thursday morning, a shooting incident in Paterson resulted in one person being injured, initiating an investigation by the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.AdThe incident occurred around 1 a.m. near the intersection of 4th Street and Jefferson Street.

According to police reports, officers responding to notifications of shots fired at the location were nearly hit head-on by a vehicle believed to be carrying the suspected shooters.

The vehicle managed to escape the scene, evading police capture.

While initial canvassing at the shooting site did not immediately reveal any victims, the situation took a turn when St. Joseph's Hospital alerted Paterson police that a gunshot victim had entered their emergency department.AdThe injured person's identity and condition have not been disclosed, and no arrests have been reported yet.

The investigation by local authorities remains active and ongoing as they seek to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and apprehend the individuals responsibly.
