Police Seek Help Identifying Package Theft Suspect in Newark

Authorities in Newark are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in connection with a package theft that occurred on Wednesday, May 1.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 6:12 p.m., a package was delivered to a residence at Holland Avenue near Gold Street.

Officials stated at 6:19 p.m., a suspect entered the front gate of the residence and removed the package.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect, described as a Black female wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white graphics beneath a black puffer coat, a white cross-body bag, blue distressed jeans, and white sneakers, officials say. 

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
