Fast-Moving Fire Engulfs Lakewood Home, Firefighters Battle Stubborn Blaze

Early Friday morning, firefighters were called to a ferocious fire in Lakewood after several emergency 911 calls reported flames at a residence on the 200 block of Cedarbridge Avenue.AdUpon their arrival, reports said fire crews encountered intense flames tearing through the house, hindering initial efforts to enter the building and search for any trapped or injured occupants.

Despite attempts to make entry, heavy fire conditions massively impeded the firefighters' efforts to access the inside of the home.

As of 4 a.m., the fire was still not under control, though, fortunately, no severe injuries have been reported.

Over two dozen firefighters were on the scene, working to extinguish the stubborn fire that continued to destroy the structure.AdThe cause of the fire remains under active investigation as authorities try to determine the origins of the blaze that rapidly consumed the Lakewood home.

The firefighting teams stretched several lines to battle the fast-moving fire, hoping to soon bring the situation under control and prevent any further damage or injuries.
