Police recovered the body of a man inside a car in a section of Newark's North Ward that borders Belleville on Friday night.
Authorities said police were notified of an unconscious person on Rose Avenue near Franklin Avenue at around 7:55 p.m.
When units arrived, they found the unidentified man in the car at the repair shop according to police.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The State regional Medical Examiners Office will determine the cause of death for the man.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office are not reporting a homicide investigation at this time.
Officials said foul play is not suspected at this time.
