Detectives for The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office were on the scene investigating a body found floating in the Passaic River this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, at approximately 4:10 p.m., police were notified of a body floating in the river near Monroe Street and River Drive.
When officers arrived, they requested a dive crew to recover the body of the unidentified person.
The incident is in its early stages of the investigation and no other information was given.
